About ADP ADP is a leading global provider of payroll and HCM solutions, supporting organizations with payroll, HR, time, and compliance services. In APAC, we serve multinational clients through ADP Global Payroll and local best-of-breed (BoB) capabilities that complement global deployments with strong in-country depth. The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (Japan) with a Payroll-first mindset to lead Japan Payroll and payroll-adjacent HCM modules (e.g., Time, statutory reporting, year-end processes, pensions/allowances, and related workflows). You will work in a global, matrix organization and collaborate across time zones to deliver solutions that meet Japan market needs while integrating seamlessly into ADP Global Payroll. ADP currently leverages Bugyo as part of our Japan capability. We are evaluating the future direction (continue, replace, or adopt a hybrid model). Experience with Bugyo is a strong plus; otherwise, the ability and willingness to learn it quickly and evaluate it in depth is expected. What You’ll Do Own product strategy and roadmap for Japan Payroll and key Japan-specific payroll modules (including year-end processes, pensions, allowances, and statutory outputs). Drive solution decisions in an evolving landscape (Build / Buy / Hybrid), balancing customer value, compliance, delivery feasibility, and cost/ROI. Ensure Japan BoB capabilities can integrate seamlessly with ADP Global Payroll, benefiting global payroll customers with a consistent end-to-end experience. Translate customer and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements and implementable technical solutions in partnership with Engineering and Architecture. Engage directly with customers and stakeholders for discovery, validation, roadmap communication, and presentations. Partner with third-party vendors as needed to align scope, manage delivery, and ensure quality outcomes. What You Bring Strong product management experience in Payroll and/or HCM, with solid understanding of Japan payroll processes and compliance. Experience working in or with global products/platforms and cross-border stakeholder groups. Technical fluency to work effectively with engineering teams on integrations (data mapping, interfaces/APIs, operational readiness). Strong judgment and structured thinking for ROI/TCO and roadmap prioritization. Confident customer-facing communication and stakeholder management; strong presentation skills. Business-level Japanese and English (written and spoken). Comfort operating in a matrix organization and collaborating across time zones; resilient in ambiguity and change. Preferred (Nice to Have) Hands-on familiarity with Bugyo (product, integration, implementation, or operations), or demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly. Experience with multi-country payroll environments/platforms and global payroll operating models. Exposure to Time & Attendance and payroll-to-finance touchpoints (e.g., reporting, reconciliation).
