Role: ServiceNow Developer Location: Tokyo, Japan Japanese language proficiency: Desirable, not mandatory Experience: 5–8 years Role Overview The Automation Services Product Engineering team member will support the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of ServiceNow-based IRM and TPRM solutions. This role works closely with stakeholders across regions and business functions to help deliver reliable and effective risk and compliance tooling. The position is suited to someone with relevant ServiceNow experience who is eager to learn and grow in the IRM/TPRM space. The successful candidate will help maintain service availability, support process improvements, contribute to integrations and reporting, and assist with upgrades and enhancement activities across the platform. Role / Responsibilities Work with peers in other regions and with business and technical stakeholders to help maintain a high level of service availability for ServiceNow applicationsSupport the development, implementation, and ongoing management of Integrated Risk Management (IRM), and Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) processes using the ServiceNow platformCollaborate with stakeholders to help ensure the organization’s risk and compliance requirements are met efficiently and effectivelyCreate and maintain risk dashboards, KRI/KPI reporting, and executive-level risk analyticsPerform system integrations with upstream and downstream applications and data sourcesSupport platform upgrades, patches, and enhancement implementationsProvide technical support and training to end users across risk management functionsContribute to continuous improvement of platform processes, tooling, and service delivery Skills & Experience (Mandatory) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceAround 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, administration, or supportStrong working knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting, with exposure to areas such as:Script IncludesGlideAjaxBusiness RulesClient/Server ScriptsUI PoliciesREST APIsWorkflowsNotificationsReportsAccess controlsExperience with ServiceNow upgrades, maintenance, and update set migrationsExperience with import sets, data migration, and integrationsUnderstanding of release, deployment, and change management processesStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work well with technical and business stakeholdersSelf-motivated with a focus on quality, learning, and continuous improvementGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively in Japanese and English Skills & Experience (Preferred) Experience with IRM, TPRM, or GRC solutions, processes, or frameworksServiceNow CIS certificationFamiliarity with risk and compliance frameworks such as SOX, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CMMC, or COBITWorking knowledge of Linux and Windows environmentsExperience with dashboards, reporting, KRI/KPI reporting, or risk analyticsExperience supporting platform enhancements, user adoption, or end-user training Interested candidates can email your CV to swamynathan.s@hcltech.com
