Job Description Design, develop, and maintain backend services for merchant platforms and integrationsArchitect and deliver APIs and system components with a focus on scalability and reliabilityCollaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders in a fully English-speaking environmentContribute to system stability, security, and compliance through robust designIdentify and prevent production issues through proactive, resilient engineeringMentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices The Successful Applicant 5+ years of experience as a backend or software engineerStrong skills in at least one statically typed language (e.g. Scala, Java, Rust, Python)Experience building scalable, distributed systems and APIsSolid understanding of software architecture and cloud environmentsComfortable working and communicating entirely in EnglishJapanese language skills are not required What's on Offer Hybrid working style: WFH up to 2 days per weekOpportunity to work on large‑scale, mission‑critical fintech systemsInternational, diverse engineering culture with strong ownership and impact
