Position: Senior Product Manager Company: Confidential Legal AI SaaS Company Location: Tokyo, Japan (remote-friendly within Japan, no full remote) Employment Type: Full-time Overview A high-growth legal technology company is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of a new AI-driven product. Founded in Japan and now operating globally, the organization has achieved strong revenue traction and continues to expand across international markets. This role offers the opportunity to own a 0-to-1 product within a stable, revenue-backed AI SaaS environment. The product domain involves complex workflows such as contracts, document management, permissions, and search, requiring a strong focus on reliability and user experience. Position Summary The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for defining and executing product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a new product initiative. This role works closely with engineering, design, and business teams while contributing to the overall product management function. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap Identify opportunities through user research and market analysis Set and track product success metrics Product Development Create PRDs, feature specifications, and documentation Translate business needs into clear product requirements Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver features Stakeholder Management Partner with cross-functional teams across product, tech, and business Communicate product direction and updates to stakeholders Present product capabilities, including AI-related features Data & Insights Conduct user research, market research, and data analysis Use insights to guide prioritization and decision-making Qualifications Required Product management experience or relevant system development background Ability to define product vision and roadmap Experience in user research and data analysis Strong stakeholder management skills Strong Japanese documentation and communication ability Preferred Experience in 0-to-1 product development SaaS product management experience at a senior level Interest in AI / generative AI Familiarity with Agile methodologies Data analysis or visualization experience Domain knowledge in complex business workflows Business-level English Technical Environment Product Scope Product vision, roadmap, PRD creation, metrics, go-to-market Focus Areas AI-driven product development Complex enterprise workflows Working Style & Benefits Flexible working hours (no core time / discretionary system) Hybrid work style (no full remote) 120+ annual holidays (weekends, national holidays, additional leave) Full social insurance Sick leave, family care leave, parental leave, and additional benefits AI tools and modern development tools provided Learning budget and language support Employee stock ownership plan Side work allowed with approval Non-smoking office (designated smoking areas available) Compensation 10.5M – 20M JPY (depending on experience) Career Path Ownership of new product initiatives Progression to senior or leadership product roles Exposure to global product expansion and strategy
