Serving more than 2,000 domestic and international institutional accounts, it delivers multifaceted matching solutions, including expert interviews, surveys, and hands-on operational support. Following the acquisition of a major US firm in 2021, the company has expanded its footprint globally, currently operating across seven international hubs. In an era where the rise of Generative AI has made public information effortlessly accessible, the company believes that the value of individual lived experiences and uncodified insights—true "primary information"—has become significantly more critical. Through ongoing experimentation and iteration, it aims to drive the creation of a new market powered by the seamless circulation of specialized knowledge. -------------【 Job Description】------------- ①Role Overview 【Role Overview】 As the Engineering Manager of our newly established Japan team, you will provide both technical and organizational leadership. Your mission is to maximize the value of the development organization. You will be responsible for enhancing overall productivity and supporting engineer growth through performance evaluations, HR system design, development process optimization, and strategic recruitment planning. ・Improving Development Productivity Investigate and strategize solutions for technical debt; develop and execute technical roadmaps. Spearhead the introduction and implementation of AI-driven development tools. Optimize end-to-end development processes. ・People Management Conduct regular 1-on-1s, set goals, and perform evaluations for team members. Design and refine engineering evaluation systems. Drive recruitment efforts to expand the engineering team. ・Product Development Leadership Lead projects for new feature development and new product launches. Establish and maintain robust operations and maintenance frameworks for existing products. 【Key Stakeholders】 Japan Hub: Co-CTO, Team Leads, Engineers, PdMs, Designers, Business Stakeholders, and External Partners. US Hub: Senior PdMs, Engineers, and External Partners. EU Hub: External Partners. 【Challenges & Expectations】 You will be entrusted with the management of our Japanese development organization (currently approximately 10 members). The company expects you to solve challenges across a wide technical spectrum—ranging from AI-integrated product development to the resolution of technical debt. Your goal will be to elevate the overall performance of the team by designing evaluation systems, optimizing processes, and fostering an environment for engineer growth. Furthermore, the company plans to double the size of the Japan-based engineering team to 20 members in the next fiscal year. Consequently, they look forward to your active involvement in defining our recruitment strategies and scaling the organization. ②Highlights of the Role ・Directly Influence Core AI Product Development You will be at the heart of the company's business, leading the development of our core AI products. While leveraging their massive existing assets—including a network of 700,000 experts and billions of yen in revenue—they are in the process of rebuilding our platform with an "AI-first" mindset. Rather than simply adding AI as a peripheral feature, the company is reinventing the core search and matching engines with AI to efficiently connect clients with expert primary information.
